Peace Youth

Our youth are a vibrant part of our faith family participating in worship through gifts of music, reading Scripture and as acolytes.  We help with Sunday School, coffee hour and service projects including Vacation Bible School and fund-raisers for The Olive Branch Orphanage, The Refuge Christmas Backpacks and Project Next Step Support Services.

Youth Group meets most Friday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Every second week we meet upstairs at Peace for games, snacks and bible study.  During the first half of the year we continued with our “Girl Talk, Guy Talk” series about everyday teen issues.  Since September, we have been enjoying bible studies led by Pastors Ronnie and Hilla based on the lectionary readings.

On the second and fourth Friday evenings of each month we enjoyed a wide variety of Fellowship activities including movies, board and card games, bowling, sailing with Frenchman’s Bay Yacht Club, Laser Tag, and a Nerf Night with neighboring youth groups hosted by St. Paul’s-on-the-Hill Anglican.  A highlight of our year was a Mother/Grandmother-Youth paint-nite afternoon where we each created a beautiful lake painting.
